For programming classes

See how students really write their code.

Jejakode watches the process, not the person: how work builds up over a session, when whole blocks arrive at once, how clean the result is, and what it costs in energy. Instructors get evidence they can discuss; students can see and pause everything they share.

What Jejakode measures

Everything comes from the student's own editor, as measurements rather than copies of their work.

AI assistance, with evidence

Every large block that appears at once is measured — how it arrived, how big it was, whether the editor was even in focus. Each class and student gets an assistance level with the moments behind it, never a verdict.

Clean-code quality

On each save the editor plug-in measures file length, function size, nesting, duplication, naming and comments, and turns them into a quality score that trends over weeks.

Energy and carbon

Runs and tests are measured for time and power where the machine allows, then converted to watt-hours and grams of CO₂e using the institution's own grid figure.

Guidance while coding

After each save students see up to three short, concrete tips on quality, clean code and energy — dismissible, and switchable off.

How it works

Three steps from an empty institution to a class you can read.

1 · Set up your classes

Create terms, courses, classes and assignments, add students individually, by list, or by bulk upload with faculty approval.

2 · Students connect their editor

Each student installs the Jejakode plug-in and pastes a personal key. It records how work happens — not the code itself, unless they choose to share it.

3 · Read the evidence together

Filter analytics by class, assignment, student or date. Open any student to see their timeline, quality trend, energy use, and leave feedback they can read.

Privacy is a setting, not a promise

Students hold the controls, and the defaults are the careful ones.

  • Only measurements are kept by default — never the text a student types.

  • Saving code snippets and reading device power are separate opt-ins, off until the student turns them on.

  • Any student can pause sharing for an institution at any time, and see exactly what is shared.
